This mission was begun through the inspiration and encouragement of veteran missionaries, Emil and Irene Aanderud (Discipleship International), and parents to Dr. Ted Aanderud, founded on the same basic principle of winning the lost to Christ and discipling them to carry on the work of the Great Commission of Jesus Christ.

Andres Jacobo is the translation of the two surnames of Ted Aanderud (Jacobson), and has been used since 1982. The Spanish version has been most helpful to immediately identify the above with the Latin language, culture and people.

Having been born into a Christian home and raised in Mexico has enabled Ted to communicate Christ in two languages and to various cultures. He is a gospel singer and an accomplished trumpet player who incorporates his original music and arrangements into his evangelistic crusades. 

He has pastored two bi-lingual, evangelical churches and served as high school director for Kansas City Youth for Christ. He travels extensively as a conference speaker, addressing many groups such as the South American Pentecostal Churches Convention, The National Baptist Convention of Peru, and the Christian Evangelical University Professors Convention of Bolivia. He is heard frequently on 292 Christian Spanish radio stations throughout the world and the United States through Impact International. Ted holds a Ph.D. degree in Christian Education and is presently on the staff of Vision International University of Theology and is professor of Bible and Christian Education.

Since1976 this ministry has had an international impact in more than 25 countries, primarily in the Spanish speaking world.

Ted has served as an international evangelist since 1976. He has traveled throughout the world, preaching and teaching the exciting message of Christ to thousands in a simple and understandable way..
